Where were the Indigenous
|
As we know, the Europeans were not the first people in the 'New World'. This land was already inhabited by the indigenous peoples and each area of the land had its own way of living, economy, environment, and tribes. It is important to note that the geography of the land determined what types of people could live in that area. The areas are split up into different categories based on the geographical features there. There are 10 areas and these areas are the Arctic, Subarctic, Northeast, Southeast, Plains, Southwest, Great Basin, California, Northwest, and Plateau. Sometimes some of these areas are grouped together.
Every area had many different tribes that sometimes did and sometimes did not work together. The clothing was different in every single area, the language was different, and the traditions were different. Imagine each area as a different state that all lived in one country, there are similarities in all of the areas but also major differences that set them apart. |
